MORE THAN A CELEBRATION_ A MOVEMENT OF WOMEN, PURPOSE AND POSSIBILITY:

Mayibuye Transport Corporation (MTC) hosted its Women’s Day Celebration at The Cove Events and Sports Venue, KuGompo City on 28 August 2026, under the inspiring theme: “Driven by Women. Powered by Resilience. Inspired by Transformation.”

This year’s celebration took a refreshing and meaningful approach. Moving away from the traditionally glamorous and fashion-focused Women’s Day events, the occasion centred on connection, team spirit, personal growth and getting to know one another beyond the workplace.

A key highlight of the celebration was an engaging team-building session, designed to strengthen relationships, enhance communication and foster alignment towards shared organisational goals. Through a series of fun and interactive activities, including games and a lively karaoke session, colleagues had an opportunity to connect, collaborate and simply enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed environment.

The programme also featured a range of distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights on women’s health and wellness, empowerment, personal development and leadership, encouraging women to prioritise their wellbeing while recognising and embracing their potential.

In her address, the Chief Executive Officer, Ms Pashee Roboji, encouraged women to aspire beyond what they believe is possible and to take full advantage of the growth and development opportunities available within the Corporation. She emphasised the importance of education, continuous learning and professional development in preparing women for leadership.

A particularly powerful message was her vision that the next Chief Executive Officer of Mayibuye Transport Corporation should come from within the ranks of MTC colleagues — a call for employees to equip themselves today for the leadership opportunities of tomorrow.

The celebration was therefore not only about recognising women, but also about building relationships, unlocking potential and cultivating the leaders who will shape the future of MTC.

As Mayibuye Transport Corporation continues its journey towards growth and transformation, the celebration reaffirmed the importance of investing in people, nurturing talent and creating a pipeline of future leaders from within the organisation.

The message was clear: the future of MTC is being shaped today, and the next generation of leaders must be prepared to step forward, take opportunities and transform potential into impact.

Mayibuye Transport Corporation remains committed to empowering its women, celebrating their resilience and creating an environment where every woman can grow, lead and thrive.
