Gwebindlala Hiv/aids Organisation This page is created to keep the society informed about all the programmes our organization does for the community of Mdantsane.

Gwebindlala HIV/Aids is a community based care Organization, that takes care of people that are affecting and infected with HIV/AIDS and the entire community at larger Gwebindlala organization runs programmes that assist the livelihood of the people in the community area of NU9. We pride ourselves by taking care of the community in the area of NU9 we do this by running programmes such as home-base

d care which we assist people that are affected by either HIV or bed ridden with whatever disease they may have, gardening program which we run as the organization in various sites that we have identified around the area of NU9, bush cutting where we clean up the area of operation. As an organisation we have also established Gwebindlala Youth Development where we assist high and primary school learners with homeworks, tutoring, career guiadence, peer education, arts and culture. We also run a soup kitchen and distribute bread and vegatable to the community. The organisation has also successfully recieved funding from:
-EPWP Public Works (IDT Program)
-USAID
-National Lottery
-Vodacom
-Eastern Cape Department of Health
-Foodbank
-European Union

We pride ourselves in creating working oppurtunities for the community of Mdantsane also ensuring that the community is well-educated about the HIV/AIDS virus and TB. We belive it is our duty to care for our people hence our slogan "Caring for people"
