VERSTAAN ONS JESUS VERKEERD?
DO WE UNDERSTAND JESUS WRONGLY?
English Page Down
Hoekom sal hulle hul wil bekeer tot so ‘n wrede wese?
D**k anders oor Hom!
Mediteer solank lank hieroor in jou gebede sodat GOD SÉLF jou verlig.
DO WE UNDERSTAND JESUS WRONGLY?
Jesus' first words (Metanoia) at the beginning of His public action were mostly translated by old translators as “Repent ye”.
Over the later centuries, Bible readers began to understand this as ‘Stop your sin’.
But why and how would the man truly stop with heart and soul doing something that is ‘pleasant’ or beneficial to him without the Holy Spirit working in him?
On the contrary, Jesus' emphasis is completely DIFFERENT: Throughout the 4 Gospels, Jesus constantly tries to convince people that God the Father is LOVE, and that the CESSATION OF SIN RATHER TAKES PLACE WITH THAT KNOWLEDGE.
It is easy to conclude that the ‘Repent’ should rather be translated in our day as ‘Think differently about the Father’ (Repent: Change your mind). It's not a strange thought in other writings.
In the Old Testament, the Father is consistently presented as a vengeful, angry being who rewards good deeds and punishes bad deeds. It is only in Isaiah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah that the prophets mention God as a comforting being in just a few places, but that’s not their emphasis.
Most people today still have the same wrong image of God.
Why would they convert their will to such a cruel being?
But now Jesus comes and says: You are wrong! The Father is LOVE. THINK DIFFERENTLY ABOUT HIM!
And this, my dear friends, is the basis of any “Repent!” ... THINK DIFFERENTLY!
John the Baptist says Jesus is the One who will baptize us with the Holy Spirit Mat 3:11.
With the conviction that God the Father is Love, the way is open for repentance and the recognition of Jesus’ Divinity.
All just because you THINK DIFFERENTLY about the image of the Creator!
This knowledge has TREMENDOUS implications for the way clergy in most demonic nations try to preach the Gospel.

In the meantime, meditate thoroughly on this in your prayers so that God HIMSELF will enlighten you.
