ANC Great-Kei Parliamentary Office donated wheelchairs, grocery hampers and blankets to individuals living with disability within the Great-Kei Municipality.

This initiative comes as part of giving support to the disadvantaged households and persons living with disability.

Hon Anilkumar Kesava Pillai led a delegation of the CMC members as the chairperson. Present in the programme was the Great-Kei Municipality council Speaker Ms Mngema, Cllr Tshali and Cllr Sinqane both from Qumrha.

The office handed over the wheelchairs, blankets and groceries to the beneficiaries.

Today, the Great-Kei Parliamentary Constituency office in partnership with the Department of Agriculture donated seedlings to Great-Kei Disability Skills Centre in Soto Village.

The purpose of today's visit and the donation is to help the centre produce it's own vegetables so it can be able to feed the person's it houses and also generate an income.

ANC Great-Kei Parliamentary Office donated five wheelchairs, grocery hampers and blankets to individuals living with disability within the Great-Kei Municipality.

This initiative comes as part of giving support to the disadvantaged households and persons living with disability. The Parliamentary office stands firm in its view that, a conducive environment must always be created for people living with disability.

Hon Anilkumar Kesava Pillai led a delegation of the CMC members as the chairperson. Present in the programme was the Mayor of Great-Kei Municipality Cllr Thekile, the council Speaker Ms Mngema, Chief Whip Mr Nzuzo and ward councilors.

The office handed over the wheelchairs, blankets and groceries to the beneficiaries and those who represented beneficiaries who were absent due to their conditions.

ANC Great-Kei Parliamentary Office visited Umzuvukile High School in Soto Village, Khwenxurha formerly known as(Mooiplaas).

The purpose of the school visit was to motivate the matric class of 2025 as they are preparing for mid-year exam camp and also give special recognition to the school for the 98% matric achievement by the class of 2024.

Hon Anilkumar Kesava Pillai led a delegation of the CMC members as the chairperson together with Great-Kei Local Municipality ward 3 Cllr Njanya and Council Speaker Ms Mngema.

The office donated hygiene packs, which include sanitary towels to matric learners who will start camp in the coming week. We also handed over a certificate of achievement to the school as an appreciation for the 98% matric pass.

Great-Kei Parliamentary Constituency office in partnership with the Penuel Apostolic Ministries had a Pre Easter Church Service in Komga.

The event took place this evening in Komga township. Hon Anilkumar Kesava Pillai led a delegation of the CMC together with Great-Kei Local Municipality ward 6 Cllr - Sinqane.

After the service, the PCO as led by Hon Pillai handed over gifts to the Sunday school children from the Church.

We thank the Church leadership for allowing us to share a message of hope to the congregation and put smiles on the young one's.

Amathole District Municipality Call to unemployed graduates.

RE: CAPTURING OF UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES in the following local municipalities within the ADM:

• Mbhashe Local Municipality
• Mnquma Local Municipality
• Great Kei Municipality
• Ngqushwa Municipality
• Raymond Mhlaba Municipality
• Amahlathi Local Municipality

ADM Chief Whip, Honorable Councillor Nanziwe Rulashe is creating a database for unemployed graduates in the district. This is in response to the call by Premier where he announced that there will be 200 000 jobs created in the Province.

In response to this, municipalities are requested to invite unemployed graduates to submit CVs to ADM teams that will visit local municipalities as indicated in the table below:
