GA MANOKE – Learners of Manoke Secondary School near Burgersfort were honoured with certificates, trophies and other PRIZES for their sterling academic performance and sport achievements.
The ceremony was held at the school on Friday September 5 and was attended by Bogwasha Circuit officials. The parents, the school governing body, members of the Burgersfort SAPS, representatives from youth against crime and principals from other schools also graced the event.
The aim was to recognise and honour learners’ hard work from January to June and to also bade farewell to one of the school’s former principals Mr MC Thema.
The pupils performed extra-mural activities like DANCING, music, drama and poetry to entertain guests. Most of their activities were directed to the retired teacher Thema.
Bogwasha Circuit manager Mr Setadi Makotanyane applauded the event, “The certificates issued to the learners will encourage them to reach greater heights. Events of this magnitude will improve the learners’ morale and will encourage them to study hard. After seeing their peers receive accolades, they seemed more determined to study,” said Makotanyane.
He highlighted that Thema was one of the best teachers he worked with, “He found the Manoke High School in tatters and strived to make it good. I was happy to see the school among the best in the circuit with their 2013 matric results. We just have to continue working hard in improving that milestone,” he added.
Current principal of Manoke Mr Viceroy Jujuju thanked Thema for paving and nurturing the school.
“He ensured our school was respected all over Tubatse. I vow to continue his good deeds,” he said.
Among the best learners at the school was Elmon Mmoyane, who is doing his matric. The school’s hope rests on him and other hopefuls to achieve excellent matric results.

Black South Africans are indeed the most confused people on Earth either by being extremely racist or xenophobic, I really hope you realize that, and work toward finding a common solution which will neither please everyone nor affect every one, there must be something in common, something in the middle that will guide the Nation to reach there, God Bless South Africa God Bless Africa.
