Invasive alien plants are one of the biggest threats to the health of our strategic water source areas, thus jeopardising further water supply, and the biodiversity therein. They cause harm to the environment, the economy and even human health.
1. Act early!
Taking action to manage invasive alien plants when they first appear is much easier and cheaper than addressing severe infestations.
2. Follow-up!
Follow-up and ongoing maintenance are essential to protect the investment made in invasive alien plant management. Regular follow-up treatment will stop any regrowth and prevent secondary infestation.
