Shards News: Due to the adverse weather forecasted for 16 Nov the entrants voted to postpone the event to Sunday 23 Nov. The news was welcomed by many shooters that could not make the event previously and so far two more teams have entered! Please inform your fellow club members that they are welcome to join us on 23 Nov at Pro Shot, they can still use the google forms app to enter.

The entries for the Shards will close at 12:00 today. We have to give Frik the final numbers in order for him to buy all the stock needed for the braai etc. He has a corporate shoot tomorrow and only has this afternoon to do so. I know there are still a few guys sitting on the fence keeping an eye on the weather forecast, please make your decision this morning, the window is closing.

The Shards Trophy is an interclub shooting competition hosted by the Central Gauteng Clay Target Shooting association. It is open to all clay target, wing shooting or shotgun shooting organisations/clubs and is a great opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts. The objective of the 50 clay competition is to prove which shooting club has the best all round shooters and the format consists of 15 trap like, 15 s***t like and 20 sporting birds (10 singles and 5 doubles).
The entry fee is R 450 per shooter and includes two boerewors rolls and a beer or cool drink. This is a half day event, shooting should be done at 13:00, the trophies (the Shards and the Plate) are handed over from the defending club to the new winners and we should be done at 14:00.
