| Today the Mayor of Mafube Local Municipality, Cllr JPS Matsole is broadening the investment and job creation horizons as he hosts an Investment and Job Summit in partnership with key private sector companies, Free State Provincial Government departments, government entities and Development Finance Institutes (DFI's) including National Empowerment Fund (NEF), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and NAFCOC etc at the Frankfort Town Hall.

The summit is proudly supported by dignitaries such as the Deputy Minister for the Department of Public Services and Administration, Ms Pinky Kekana, member of the National Assembly and Chairperson of the Agricultural Portfolio committee, Ms Nomasonto Motaung, Executive Mayor of Johannesburg Metro, Cllr Dada Morero as well as senior management of NAFCOC and Provincial Secretary of COSATU.

| This Social Development month, GCIS collaborated with the Free State Provincial Government through the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation in Fezile Dabi District Municipality, Ngwathe LM and various departments as well as civil society organisations to observe the National Recreation Day organised to emphasise support to the ongoing fight against Gender-Based Violence and femicide (GBVf).

The initiative gathered the support of community youth and women to dedicate time to demomstrate solidarity with the victims of GBVf through recreational games preceeded by a 5Km Big Walk around the Phiritona township on 09 October 2026.

| On 08 October 2026, GCIS Free State Provincial collaborated with the South African Police Services (SAPS) through Mafube Police Station in Namahadi, Mafube Local Municipality to a community imbizo where the community policicing strategies were discussed and enforced by election of a new Community Policing Forum (CPF) at the Falesizwe Secondary School Hall.

While government strengthens the fight against GBVf across the country, Captain Mphuthi (Visible Policing Commander) led community based stakeholders and other government departments who pledged support at an Imbizo which emphasized a collaborative approach with the community and civil society organisations to fighting the scurge of gender-based violence and femicide.

| Today, 27 Septmeber 2026, GCIS Free State Provincial witnessed a gesture of local government service delivery support and enhancement where the Free State Provincial Government through its MEC for Department of Human Settlements and CoGTA, Mr Saki Mokoena donated service delivery fleet and machinery to the Mafube Local Municipality in Namahadi, Poelano Sports Ground.

Mr Mokoena was accompanied by a member of the National Assembly and Chairperson of the Portfolio of Agriculture, Ms Nomasonto Motaung flanked by members of Mafube Local council and senior management to receive the donated fleet including a grader, water tanker, mini truck as well as road maintenance machinery and tar.

| July 01, 2026, saw the national roll out of Administration Adjudication of Road Traffic Offenses (AARTO) Act by the Road Traffic Infringement Authority (RTIA) which affects two municipalities in the Fezile Dabi District Municipality including Metsimaholo Local Municipality and Moqhaka Local Municipality.

Therefore, in the interest of district wide communication and socialization of the national roll out, GCIS Free State Provincial provided communication support to Interprovincial Joint Operation coordinated and facilitated by the the Free State Department of Community, Roads and Transport in collaboration with RTIA, N3TC (N3 Toll Concession), Road Safety Unit, Dipaleseng Traffic and Workshop Electronics at the N3 Corridor, Dalesville, on 03 July 2026, encompassing four provinces as Free State, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu Natal as well as Gauteng Provincial Governments.

| Under the echo of the national theme "Our National Commitment to the Future of Freedom Lives in Every Generation", GCIS collaborated with the Free State Provincial Government through its Community Development Workers deployed to Maokeng, Moqhaka Local Municipality to host a organized youth to a Youth Enterpreneurial Empowerment and Cooperative Seminar yesterday, 24 June 2026 in Maokeng.

The purpose was to empower youth with information they can use to activate their aspirations to establish and develop businesses successfully supported by Small Enterprise Development & Finance Agency - Sedfa, Fezile Dabi District Municipality LED Department and etc.

| In activating support to integrated government communication program, GCIS participated in the Community Imbizo that was led by the Speaker of the Fezile Dabi District Municipality, Cllr Sidney Pittaway at Qalabotjha, Madiba Hall in Mafube Local Municipality to create an educational awareness on Dis and Mis-Information on government services, products and information as rendered to communities through a network departments.
