We are in Hermanus, in the beautiful Overberg of South Africa's Western Cape Province. We love it here, and so do millions of people from all over the world. They flock here for wonderful, care-free holidays, marvelling at the natural beauty of the area, hiking and mountain biking and dining and watching the annual whale migration. It is almost paradise. Indeed, it is a beautiful and happy place - but there are also many, many people here who need a helping hand, someone to walk alongside them and help them on their feet. And that is what we are planning to do: we are going to take hands with all the wonderful non-profit organisations who are already active here to make sure that none work in silos and that no-one in need falls through the cracks. We are going to facilitate connection and in time also sustainability, so that non-profits can become self-sufficient and people who need help can get the help they need until they are able to walk independently again.
