*DA announces strong team to build on Overstrand’s record of delivery*

The Democratic Alliance is proud to announce our team of ward candidates who will contest the 2026 Local Government Elections across Overstrand.
Following a rigorous selection process involving training, performance assessments, assignments, an examination and interviews before independent selection panels, we believe we are putting forward a strong team of capable, committed people who understand that public office is about one thing: serving residents.
Our candidates reflect the communities of Overstrand – from Stanford and Gansbaai to Hermanus, Hawston, Kleinmond, Betty’s Bay and Pringle Bay – and bring together experience, fresh energy and a determination to get things done.
The DA goes into this election with a clear commitment to the people of Overstrand: create jobs, fight crime, end corruption and deliver excellent basic services.
That means protecting the sound financial management and good governance on which Overstrand has built its reputation, while doing more to maintain and expand infrastructure, improve roads and public spaces, support economic growth and tourism, create opportunities for young people, and build safer communities.
We also recognise that good government can never become complacent. Residents rightly expect more from the DA because we have demonstrated that government can work. Our task now is to raise that standard even further.

Over the coming weeks these candidates will be in communities, knocking on doors, listening to residents and setting out our plan for the next five years.
On 4 November, Overstrand residents have a choice: protect the progress we have made and build on it, or risk the instability and decline we have seen elsewhere.
The DA has a record to defend, an action plan and, most importantly, a team ready to work.
