As we celebrate World Social Work Day, I am filled with appreciation for a profession that is both my passion and calling. Teaching the next generation is a privilege. Today, I had the honour of speaking to 4th year Social Work students at the NWU Vaal Triangle Campus about Social Work in Healthcare. This talk coincided with Social Work Month and Colorectal Cancer Awareness month, two areas that I am particularly passionate about.

When I decided to go into private practice 10 years ago, I had no idea what a journey it would be. It has been filled with humbling moments, times of learning, and, most of all, countless opportunities to learn from the patients I’ve had the privilege of working with. I want to thank every single patient — you are the experts. Together, we write new stories.
On the 7th of October 2025, I was invited as a guest on Goeie More/Good Morning on Via TV. I followed a conversation the presenter had with Pippa Van Onselen What made it even more special was that it coincided with my 10th anniversary in private practice.
