The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 4 Impact-Based Warning for severe thunderstorms into Friday evening on 6 March (23:59).

What to expect:

Heavy downpours and flooding of low-lying roads and bridges
Possible damage to infrastructure and informal settlements

Safety tips:

Avoid crossing flooded roads or bridges
Stay indoors where possible and away from metal objects
Do not shelter under trees during lightning

The City of Johannesburg Disaster Management Centre is participating in the Mayoral High-Impact Service Delivery Programme in Region A, Ward 110, to focus on keeping our communities safe and resilient.
