This afternoon, Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Kedibone Diale-Tlabela tabled the Department’s 2026/27 Budget Vote Speech at the Gauteng Provincial Legislature.

The Budget Vote outlined key investments aimed at improving road infrastructure, strengthening public transport services, enhancing road safety and creating jobs across Gauteng.

✔️ R1.466 billion allocated for road maintenance and repairs
✔️ Major road construction and upgrade projects across the province
✔️ R3.2 billion committed to public transport services
✔️ Increased focus on road safety and protecting public infrastructure
✔️ Job creation through labour-intensive infrastructure programmes

Together, these investments will support economic growth, improve mobility and enhance service delivery for Gauteng residents.
