*⚡ City Power Updates*
- Meyer Street (Linksfield): Power has been out since Friday. I currently only have one reference number for this. If you are affected on Meyer Street, please WhatsApp the word "hi" to 069 470 2054 and follow the prompts so I have all the information needed to chase this effectively.
- George Avenue: I am still actively chasing the ongoing outage here as well.
- Management Unresponsiveness: The City Power group is currently bedlam. Cllr Echeozonjoku and I have been escalating numerous issues, but we are receiving zero responses from management. It is incredibly frustrating that we are not getting answers from City Power management.

*🗳️ IEC Candidate List & Upcoming Elections*
- Leaked Candidate List: The IEC's candidate list for the Gauteng local government elections was leaked this weekend.
- Ward 72 Contenders: There are no less than 54 candidates running for Ward 72—meaning 53 other people are vying for my job.
- A Call for Unity: Can you imagine how factional the council would be if we had 54 parties represented? We need to unite behind a single party capable of actually governing. I urge you to vote DA on both your Ward and PR ballots on the 4th of November to ensure stable governance and avoid making the situation worse with tiny, unaccountable parties.

- Three Roses Drop-In: I will be stationed at Three Roses this morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM for "Latte and Laptop." Please feel free to come join me if you'd like to chat!
- I will be tied up in a meeting for the rest of the afternoon.

The Sandringham Dip is finally lit up! 💡

*Dunottar Street Outage*
City Power is assuring me they're working on the issue, but evidently that seems to have stalled and I'm pleading for answers as to why.

*Doughnuts with Daniel*
We'll be at the Jock Whyte Park on Victoria Ave in Sandringham from 14:30-15:30 today, come swing by and grab a doughnut with me (whilst stocks last)

*Councillor Availability*
I'll be offline from late afternoon until tomorrow evening, Councillor Echeozonjoku is available for urgent issues and the service delivery assistant on 0694702054 still works.

*☕Community Drop in*
I am stationed just outside Kosher World this morning until about 8:45 AM. If anyone would like to stop by for a quick chat, please feel free to come find me.

*​🚦 Traffic Safety & Active Citizenry*
​I’ve noticed an alarming trend of drivers treating red traffic lights as mere advisories, skipping them even in broad daylight around schools and old age homes.

_JMPD Intervention:_ I will be engaging with the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) to explore options for installing red-light cameras at these problem intersections.
_Personal Responsibility:_ While we can push for law enforcement, a safe city starts with our own behavior. We cannot treat traffic laws as an inconvenience when lives—especially children's lives—are at risk. Let's practice active citizenry by driving responsibly and treating each other with respect on the roads.

*​🚰 Water Restoration Update*
​Long Avenue Repair Site: I visited the repair site at the bottom of Long Avenue this morning. The physical work appears to be complete, although Joburg Water has not yet issued an notification of completion.

​However I am receiving reports that many of you still do not have water. I am actively escalating this with Joburg Water to determine if there is a secondary fault on the line, or if the teams have simply failed to reopen the valves as usual. I will keep pushing for clarity and will update you as soon as I have answers.

​I will be stationed at RTG on Long Avenue this morning until just before 9:00 AM. If you are in the area and want to chat about the water situation or any other municipal issues, please feel free to stop by.
