Kruger Park Roadblock!!

Is it just us, or just Muphy's law that the road back to camp comes alive when gate closing time is fast approaching? These buffalo close to Tamboti camp were in no hurry to move on😁

Face to face with the King. We found 2 mating pairs of Lion close to the Olifants river lookout in the Kruger Park. Put the volume up and listen to his roar!!

We found this Bateleur close to the road near the Lower Sabie Rest Camp. Bateleurs are known to eat carrion and are often one of the first to arrive on the scene. We were not sure whether this impala was the remains of a Leopard kill, or sadly possibly roadkill. At least nothing goes to waste in the wild.

While the Crocodiles and Hippo's bask peacefully on the bank of the Crocodile river, one Hippo makes sure they all know who's in charge. Photo taken from Ngwenya lodge.

Nature doesn't need a stage. Sometimes the most spectacular scenes appear between the branches. This mother hippo was seen giving the crocodiles a not so subtle warning to stay away from her calf. Seen on the banks of the Crocodile River from Ngwenya lodge.

We found these two Zebra stallions fighting for the right to mate with the females. These fights which include kicking and biting could lead to serious injuries. Fortunately on this occasion neither of them seemed to pick up any injuries.
