SADPMR BASIC DIAMOND VALUATION TRAINING PROGRAMME 2026

The South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator (SADPMR) will offer a Basic Diamond Valuation Training Programme
commencing in September 2026.

The programme will provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical understanding of diamond identification, grading, valuation and the factors that determine diamond quality and value.

SADPMR at the 4th Critical Minerals Summit 2026

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr C. Khosa, is participating in the 4th Critical Minerals Summit 2026, currently taking place at the Indaba Hotel and Conference Centre in Johannesburg.

Held under the theme “Mining Beyond Borders: Unlocking Continental Prosperity,” the two-day summit brings together government leaders, regulators, mining executives, investors, financial institutions, technology providers and other key stakeholders.

The summit provides a valuable platform for dialogue on Africa’s critical mineral resources, investment
opportunities, innovation, sustainable mining and strengthening partnerships to unlock the continent’s mineral potential.

SADPMR remains committed to meaningful stakeholder engagement and contributing to initiatives that advance the sustainable development of Africa’s mining and mineral resources sector.

The South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator (SADPMR) is pleased to announce that its experienced Diamond Valuators now offer professional valuation services for loose, polished diamonds to private individuals, businesses and institutions.

✨ What you can expect:
• Objective, transparent and professional valuations
• Internationally recognised diamond valuation standards
• An official valuation report for your records
• Confidentiality, integrity and objectivity

💰 Fees: From R1,000 per polished diamond, depending on the size, value and nature of the valuation required. Clients will be advised of the applicable fee before the valuation proceeds.
