PREMIER DR. ZAMANI SAUL OFFICIATES OVER SOD TURNING OF R12.8 million STATE OF THE ART BA GA BAREKI TRADITIONAL COUNCIL OFFICE
The Premier, Dr. Zamani Saul accompanied by the MEC for CoGHSTA, MEC Lebogang Motlhaping and MEC responsible for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, MEC Mirriam Kibi joined Kgosi Bareki as well as the Batlharo Ba Ga Bareki Traditional Council in officially turning the sod at the site where the R12.8 million state of the art traditional council will be built.
Batlharo Ba Ga Bareki Traditional Council have been without a Traditional Council Office for over ten years, this after it was demolished because it was infested with Asbestos. The delegation received a full layout plan of the Ba Ga Bareki Traditional Council Office that is soon to be built.
The Office will include an auditorium, an amphitheatre, a traditional court and a youth centre.
In his remarks, the Premier reiterated Government’s commitment of building 5 traditional council offices for DiKgosi. Premier emphasised the good relations Government enjoys with DiKgosi and how this is valued by Government. The building of the Traditional council offices is inline with the commitment. Premier Saul further spoke to Government’s preparedness to welcome the Khoi and San Leaders in the traditional house once all processes were concluded.
