Somehow it has become normal for students to wait for allowances
Normal to borrow for food
Normal to stress about accommodation
Normal to study while financially anxious

But struggling to survive is not part of the curriculum

Being a student is already hard enough without having to fight for basic support

Right now this is not just campus unrest it is students standing up because what was promised has not come through allowances have not reflected accommodation has not been paid and yet classes continue as if empty accounts do not affect focus and performance Delayed funding means delayed survival You cannot expect students to perform at their best while they are worrying about rent and food NSFAS is not a favour it is a commitment and asking for what is owed is not disruption it is accountability

Tonight whether you marched or stayed back APS delays hit all of us. Some were tired. Some were scared. Some just wanted peace. Some stood in front. Some behind.
