The ANCWL PEC member and ANCWL Eastern Cape head of elections Cde Zanele Koni led a successful door-to-door campaign in Ward 4, Cacadu, under the Robert Resha Sub-Region in the Chris Hani Region.

The campaign formed part of the ongoing voter mobilisation and community engagement programme aimed at strengthening the movement’s presence on the ground, listening to the concerns of residents, and encouraging eligible community members to register to vote and participate in the upcoming Local Government Elections.

The ANC Women’s League remains committed to engaging communities directly, promoting responsive leadership, and advancing people-centred service delivery.

Justice delayed is justice denied. Together, let our voices be heard.

STATEMENT BY YOUNG WOMEN'S DESK - DR. W.B. RUBUSANA REGION

FOR ANDA PEACH MLONDLENI!

The Young Women's Desk (YWD) of the Dr. W.B. Rubusana Region condemns in the strongest possible terms the brutal killing of Anda Peach Mlondleni, who was born on 10 February 1994 and lost her life on 13 July 2026 after being shot.

Another young woman has been robbed of her future. Another family has been forced to bury a loved one. Another community has been left devastated by the continued scourge of violent crime. This cannot become normal, and we refuse to accept it.

The continued loss of women and children to violent crime demands decisive action. Communities deserve to live without fear, and women and children deserve to live free from violence. Those who commit these crimes must be held fully accountable, and justice must not be delayed.

The Young Women's Desk calls upon students, parents, workers, community members, faith-based organisations, civil society, and all progressive formations to gather in their numbers at court as this matter is heard. Our presence must send a clear message that we stand with the Mlondleni family, reject violence in all its forms, and will not allow this case to be ignored or forgotten.

We call on the relevant law enforcement and prosecuting authorities to ensure that a thorough investigation is conducted, that justice is pursued without fear or favour, and that those responsible face the full consequences of the law.

WE DEMAND:

• Justice for Anda Peach Mlondleni.
• The arrest and successful prosecution of every person responsible.
• Decisive action to end the proliferation of gun violence in our communities.
• Greater protection for women, children, and all vulnerable members of society.
•Safer communities where every person can live free from fear.

We refuse to be silent. We refuse to normalise the killing of women. We refuse to allow another life to be reduced to a statistic.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!
