ANC Nelson Mandela Regional Chairperson, Comrade Babalwa Lobishe, today joined the congregation of the Bantu Church of Christ in New Brighton during their church service. Following the service, she met with the church's Business Council, led by Bishop Mlungisi Bebula, to engage on a range of political and governance matters affecting communities.

This engagement forms part of the ANC's ongoing mobilisation programme ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections, as the organisation continues to strengthen its relationship with communities, faith-based organisations and key stakeholders.

The delegation accompanying the Regional Chairperson included ANC REC Members Comrades Yolisa Pali-Jongilanga, Thembinkosi Mafana and Buyelwa Mafaya; ANC-deployed MMC Comrade Lorna Makwethu; ANCYL RTT Member Comrade Amyoli Resha; and ANC Eastern Cape PET deployee Comrade Bamanye Ndzima.
