Daphne Lee Centre is a Centre for those adults who are physically or mentally challenged, who come from a poor social background and who are over the age of 18 years. These clients must be self- sufficient and independent (ie. do not require special care or nursing)
The Centre strives to achieve the following for its clients:
- Provide consistency and stability
- Encourage independence and self-
confidence
- Develop physical and mental abilities
- Cater to their spiritual needs and,
- Empower the adult so that their dependence on their care-givers is minimal and their work potential optimized in the different creative workshops,
by participating in a variety of creative activities on a daily basis, Monday to Friday. These areas are:
- Basket Weaving
- Needlework (including Quilting)
- Soap Making
- Creative projects (ie painting and making of gift bags)
