A Massive Thank You to Sally Chapman

We are so deeply grateful to the incredibly talented Sally Chapman for her extraordinarily generous donation of a stunning, hand-painted leopard portrait for our ASU.

Sally spent months pouring her heart and soul into this beautiful piece of art. She shared that she was inspired by our amazing ASU learners and their endless determination. While painting, Sally noted that just as every leopard spot is completely unique, so too is every single learner in our ASUโ€”each bringing their own special character and brilliance to our school.

Thank you, Sally, for capturing the spirit of our learners so perfectly and for blessing our space with your unbelievable talent and kindness. You have touched all of our hearts.

Our Kloof High School 1st Team Soccer Girls are officially your 2026 U19 Knockout CHAMPIONS, lifting the coveted trophy for the second time since the tournamentโ€™s inception in 2022!

In an absolute rollercoaster of a final, Kloof went toe-to-toe with Durban Girls' High, delivering a high-scoring, heart-pounding 5-3 victory that kept everyone on the edge of their seats from start to finish!

A big well done to our Kloof High School U18 Boys and Girls Volleyball teams for their incredible performance at the Brettonwood Diamond Jubilee Championship Tournament last week!

U18 Boys: Dominated the court by winning all 4 of their group matches to secure a spot in the finals! After a tough, hard-fought battle against Sastri College, they finished as proud tournament runners-up. Exceptional effort, boys!

U18 Girls: Swept the competition with a flawless run, winning all 4 matches to reach the finals against Al Falaah. They brought their A-game, clinched the victory, and are officially bringing home the Diamond Jubilee Championship Trophy!

A massive shoutout to Mika Le Vieux, who was named Best Player of the Tournament and awarded both a trophy and certificate for an outstanding performance!

We are so proud of all our players and coaches for representing Kloof High with such distinction.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mathematics teacher, Suzanne Meyer, who passed away last week.

Suzanne joined the Kloof High family in 2006, dedicating two decades to inspiring generations of learners. Her passion for maths was truly contagious, and her commitment to her learners went far beyond the classroom. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, known for her vast general knowledge and sharp intellect. She was not just an extraordinary teacherโ€”she was a mentor, a guiding light, and a cherished colleague and friend.

We extend our deepest condolences, strength, and love to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Suzanne, thank you for your wisdom, patience, and the boundless enthusiasm you brought to Kloof High every single day.

Rest in peace, Mrs Meyer.

Massive shout-out to Ben Gibson-Taylor for his extraordinary performance at the SA Climbing Youth World Championship Selection Event in Cape Town earlier this year.

Ben achieved outstanding results across two disciplines:
๐Ÿฅˆ2nd Place in South Africa for Lead
๐Ÿฅ‰3rd Place in South Africa for Boulder

Following this success, Ben earned selection to represent ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ South Africa ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ at both the Youth World Championships for Sport Climbing in Arco, Italy, and the European Youth World Cup in Dornbirn, Austria this past July! While climbing in Italy, Ben was also announced as the SA Team Captain for 2026!

We are immensely proud of you, Ben. Keep flying that Kloof flag high!
