During the IDP Consultative meeting scheduled for 24 October 2018 the community of Ward 8 requested Street Lights to be installed in the passage between Xolo-xolo SP School and Long Homes and in the passage Ezibeleni between Mathambo and Majola households (next to Caculama).

Today the 7th of November 2018 the GKM Electrical Unit is out and about installing street lights in the above mentioned areas.

Cllr Lwanda Madikizela opening the IDP Consultative Meeting at Ward 8 Community Hall and welcoming the community of Bhongweni Location.

The Mayor of GKM Cllr Bheki Mtolo is about to give the presentation and the community is going to be given platform to raise project related issues and to put them in order of priority.

Also present in the meeting is the Municipal Coucil led by Speaker Cllr Zolani Mhlongo and Municipal Administration Management led by Municipal Manager Mr Lulamile Mapholoba.

We are here at Ward 8 Hall with Members of KZN Legislature. They paid a visit to our War Room to access and evaluate whether what we are talking about in our Monthly reports really transpires on the ground.

Ours is to make the lives of our community better by strengthening War Rooms as they are the basic unit of Operation Sukuma Sakhe. People are once again called upon to make use of War Rooms to report challenges and be part of resolving challenges.
