As we commemorate Nelson Mandela International Day, we are reminded that Madiba’s legacy is not honoured through words alone, but through acts of selfless service that uplift our communities. Mandela Day is a call for every South African to dedicate their time and energy to improving the lives of others and strengthening the spirit of Ubuntu.
The ANCYL Shakaville Branch believes that young people must remain at the forefront of community development and social responsibility. Through this programme, we seek to restore dignity, inspire hope, and demonstrate our unwavering commitment to serving our people.
We therefore call upon every volunteer, member, supporter, and resident of Ward 18 to answer the call to serve by participating in this meaningful initiative. Let us honour the enduring legacy of President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela by dedicating our time, energy, and compassion to those who need it most.
The African National Congress Youth League remains steadfast in its commitment to the values of Ubuntu, solidarity, selfless service, and social justice. Together, let us transform the spirit of Mandela Day into meaningful action and reaffirm that service to our people remains our highest calling.
