The CONGRESS OF SOUTH AFRICAN STUDENTS (COSAS), demandS JUSTICE FOR CLEOPATRA!

We will not rest until those responsible for this heinous act are held accountable. If it means stopping school until justice is served, then so be it! We will stand together, united in our quest for truth and accountability. Kwa-Thema Community Calls Off School Picket Amid Power Cut Crisis

Story:Mandla Mhlanga

Kwa-Thema, February 27, 2025 - After days of disruptions, the Kwa-Thema community has agreed to stand down on their "No Electricity, No School" picket, following a breakthrough meeting with student organization Cosas.

The community had taken to the streets earlier this week, forcing learners out of classes in various schools affected by power cuts.

However, in a significant development, community members and Cosas representatives met at Ndaba Tree in Kwa-Thema today, reaching a common ground that paved the way for a return to normalcy.

According to the agreement, Grade 12 learners are expected to return to school tomorrow, while all other grades will resume classes on Monday. The community has pledged to ensure that there will be no further disruptions.
