EFF Kwadukuza Sub-Region Brings Hope and Mobility to Elderly Residents in Melville Ward 24
Today, Fighter Sthembiso Kheswa of the EFF Kwadukuza Sub-Region visited elderly residents in Melville Ward 24 to deliver wheelchairs directly to their homes as part of the organisation's ongoing commitment to serving vulnerable members of the community.
During the visit, one elderly gentleman, who had been confined indoors for the past two years due to mobility challenges, received a wheelchair that will enable him to leave his home and regain a sense of freedom and independence. Witnessing him have the opportunity to go outside again was a powerful reminder of the impact that community support can have on improving people's lives.
In another household, an elderly woman was also provided with a wheelchair to assist with her mobility needs. During the engagement, it became apparent that she is experiencing significant eyesight difficulties and requires spectacles. The EFF Kwadukuza Sub-Region has committed to returning to assist her in obtaining the necessary eyewear to improve her quality of life.
These interventions reflect the EFF's dedication to restoring dignity, promoting social well-being, and ensuring that no member of our community is left behind. The EFF Kwadukuza Sub-Region remains committed to identifying and addressing the needs of residents through meaningful community service initiatives.
Serving the people and restoring dignity through action.
