The findings provide valuable insights into evolving healthcare needs and reinforce our role as a trusted health thought leader. To mark the struggle of many of our loved ones in the COVID-19 pandemic, we have created a tribute Tree of Life. The fallen leaves represent those who lost the fight, and the leaves on the tree those who recovered. Mediclinic Lephalale invites the close family member(s) of a loved one who recovered or succumbed to COVID -19 while being treated in our hospital, to personally come and write the name of their loved one on the leaves of our Tree of Life.

Christine Kruger, a well-known local artist, has donated a painting of the Tree of Life to Mediclinic Lephalale. The Tree of Life is a symbol for rebirth as trees lose their leaves and seem to be dead during winter, but then new buds appear and new, fresh leaves unfurl during the spring.
