In a major step toward solidifying administrative stability in the Ditsobotla Local Municipality, the National Cabinet Representative, Mr. Kopung Ralikontsane, alongside the Municipal Manager, Mr. Olaotse Bojosinyane, have today held a joint engagement session with all municipal employees.
​The session was convened at the direct behest of the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (SAMWU) leadership to directly discuss pressing workplace challenges and build actionable, collaborative solutions that will take the municipality forward.

The Phase 6 Thuntsa Lerole Accelerated Service Delivery Programme in the Ditsobotla Local Municipality was concluded with a community feedback session held in Boikhutso sports ground and the media engagement sessions.

TOURISM TOUR GUIDING INFORMATION SESSION

As part of the Phase 6 Thuntsa Lerole Accelerated Service Delivery Programme, Ditsobotla Local Municipality, through its Local Economic Development (LED) Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism, successfully hosted a Tourism Tour Guiding Information Workshop at Royal Haven Guesthouse in Lichtenburg on Thursday, 30 July 2026.

The workshop formed part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to empower aspiring Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) and individuals who wish to venture into the tourism sector. Participants received valuable information on the requirements, registration process, and benefits of becoming a registered tourist guide, as well as the opportunities available within the tourism

This initiative demonstrates the municipality's commitment to promoting local economic development, strengthening the tourism sector, developing local skills, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for communities through strategic collaboration with key stakeholders.
