The South African Students Congress dips its revolutionary banner in mourning of the passing on of SASCO’s National Deputy President, Comrade Buyile Matiwane.
Buyile Matiwane was raised in a small rural town called Engcobo, in the Eastern Cape.In the largest and most established student movement in Africa, the South African Student Congress (SASCO), he is the writer with the most publications. He actively participated in activist groups that worked to improve South Africa. We will remember him for his enthusiasm and his excellent negotiating skills
We salute him for his dedication and unwavering commitment to the national democratic revolution.
SASCO LESEGO RACOCO REGION conveys its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the entire mass democratic movement. We hope they will find solace in the knowledge that the organization shares in their grief. We wish them strength and fortitude as they mourn their loved one.
As SASCO we say to the family and the entire membership of our Alliance, Cdre has not died; but joins the living in ideas. His political leadership and dedication to the cause will serve as glue that keeps our movement intact in the midst of the thunderous political storm that we find ourselves in.
