ANCWL NORTH WEST VISITS FAMILY OF 17-YEAR-OLD VICTIM IN SERALENG, WARD 43
The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) in the North West Province visited the family of a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly r***d and brutally murdered in Seraleng, Ward 43, Rustenburg.
The Provincial Chairperson of the ANCWL,Cde Wendy Matsemela together with the Deputy Regional Chairperson and ANCWL,Cde Sheila Mabele-Huma and other PEC members, visited the bereaved family to offer condolences, support and solidarity during this painful time.
The ANCWL strongly condemns the escalating scourge of gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) in our communities. Women and children continue to live in fear, while families are left devastated by acts of violence that have no place in our society.
The ANCWL demands justice for the victim and her family. Those responsible must be held fully accountable, and the justice system must act decisively. We cannot continue to lose young lives to violence.
Enough is enough. We must stand together to end GBVF and build safer communities for women and children.
