The Nandoni Project is the classic case of tenders being awarded, pipes delivered and dumped, but no water.
In Dzumeri village pipes are still lying on the road, gathering dust. Meanwhile, our people are forced to pay R250 for a single tank of water.
This project was budgeted at R900 million when it started in 2014. Today, it has already cost government over R4.5 billion , but the taps are still dry in the 91 villages of Greater Giyani, No one takes responsibility, All they do is play the blame game between Mopani District, and the Department of Water and Sanitation, while communities continue to suffer.
