Ehlanzeni District Municipality Engages UJ Students on Municipal Health Services
The Municipal Health Services Department is today hosting students from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) at Ehlanzeni District Municipality as part of an educational and professional development engagement.
The training is aimed at equipping these young, aspiring professionals with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of key areas within Environmental Health and Municipal Health Services. Topics covered include Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) measures, Meat Safety, Military Health, Port Health, the role of Provincial Environmental Health Practitioners, Malaria Control, and the operations and functions of Municipal Health Services.
The engagement brings together representatives from various strategic stakeholders, including the Department of Employment and Labour, South African National Defence Force (SANDF), Border Management Authority (BMA), Department of Health, Eskom, Department of Agriculture, and other relevant partners.
Through collaborative engagements such as these, Ehlanzeni District Municipality continues to support knowledge-sharing, professional development, and the development of future Environmental Health professionals.
