Kwaggafontein came alive as the community of Thembisile Hani Municipality gathered in numbers for the launch of Eggcelent by Lebo - a massive poultry enterprise housing 30,000 chickens!

But this was more than a farm launch.
It was a launch of HOPE. A launch of POWER. A launch of PROSPERITY.
Lebo declared: โ€œItโ€™s raining eggs in Kwaggafontein!โ€
HOD Chunda: โ€œWe are creating food mountains for food security.โ€
MEC Moeketsi: Agriculture is building the strong pillars of our economy. NEF CEO Dayimani: We are backing the growth of more commercial farms. Growing in Wisdom, Investing in the Future because wisdom goes beyond knowledge, it shapes how we think, lead, make decisions and impact the world around us.

I had the privilege of spending over 3 hours mentoring Grade 11 and 12 Science learners from different schools across Gauteng. Engaging with these young minds, sharing experiences and encouraging them to pursue careers in food science, agriculture, technology and innovation as it is our responsibility to nurture the next generation of scientists and innovators.

We are busy building and installing 60 additional rabbit cages as we prepare for the coming birthing season.

This is what growth looks like - planning ahead, investing in infrastructure, and preparing for increased production.
From one season to the next, we are building a sustainable agricultural enterprise that creates opportunities, produces food and demonstrates what is possible through smart farming.

The cages are going up. The rabbits are multiplying. The vision is growing
