The African National Congress in Ward 36 is currently on the ground conducting a Door-to-Door campaign in Zomba VD.

The campaign is led by VD Coordinator, Cde Nyiko Sabane, together with Councillor-Elect, Hon. Cllr Sabelo Maseko.

This forms part of the ANC’s ongoing grassroots mobilisation programme ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections — engaging directly with our people, listening to their concerns and strengthening our local structures.

Today our ANC Councillor Candidate Sancho DePoet Maseko donated food parcel and led a massive door-to-door program around Chakaza VD.

Maseko didn’t just ask for votes — he listened to our people, shared the vision of the ANC, and restored dignity by giving food to families in need.

Today we successfully conducted a door-to-door campaign at Chakaza VD.

We engaged with community members, listened to their concerns and encouraged them to vote for the African National Congress on 04 November 2026.

During our engagements, we encountered a challenge where an elderly man’s ID has been frozen by Home Affairs and he is unable to get assistance. We have taken up this matter as Ward 36 and we are going to try by all means to assist this elder to get his ID sorted.🖤💚💛

Ward 36 today welcomed the Regional Deputy Chairperson of the ANCYL, Cde Sthe Tsunami Mahlangu, who joined Councillor-Elect Cde Sancho DePoet Maseko and ANCYL volunteers on the ground for our door-to-door program.

The purpose of the visit was to directly engage residents, listen to service delivery concerns, and mobilize young people to be active in building our community and strengthening the movement.

We thank Cde Deputy Chairperson for her revolutionary leadership and for being with us on the ground, and we salute our volunteers and Councillor-Elect for their selfless dedication to the people of Ward 36.
