Le***an Visibility Week (LVW) 2026 runs from Monday, April 20 to Sunday, April 26, celebrating le****ns and q***r women/non-binary people while promoting solidarity across the LGBTQIA+ community.
Here are common types of le***an identities and styles:
Appearance-Based Identities

2. Femme: Feminine-presenting, embracing traditionally "girly" styles, makeup, or dresses.
3. Soft Butch/Soft Masc: A blend of masculine and feminine, leaning toward masculine but with a softer aesthetic.
4. Lipstick Le***an: A le***an who is highly feminine in style.
5. Chapstick Le***an: Coined by Ellen DeGeneres, referring to a more casual, low-maintenance, or sporty feminine style, situated between lipstick and butch.
6. Stud: A term originating in Black and Latina communities for masculine-presenting le****ns.
7. Stem: A blend of "stud" and "femme," representing someone who fits in the middle of that specific spectrum.
8. Futch: A blend of "femme" and "butch," used for someone who exists somewhere between masculine and feminine.
9. Androgynous: Gender-neutral or sporty clothing, avoiding extremes of either feminine or masculine presentation.
Relationship/Lifestyle Roles
1. Stone Butch/Stone Femme: Refers to a stone top who is focused on giving pleasure, often with personal boundaries regarding receiving it.
2. Pillow Princess: A term for a le***an who prefers to receive pleasure rather than give it.
3. Switch: A le***an who equally enjoys giving and receiving pleasure.
4. Baby D**e: A relatively new or young le***an, often exploring her identity.
5. Gold Star Le***an: A term (sometimes criticized) for a le***an who has never had sexual in*******se with a man.
Specialized/Other Subtypes
1. Boii: Often used to describe a masculine, boyish, or petite le***an.
2. Cele***an: A celebrity who is a le***an.
3. Granola Le***an: A, often West Coast, stereotype that emphasizes a crunchy, eco-friendly, outdoorsy lifestyle.
4. Hasbian: A derogatory or humorous term for a woman who used to identify as a le***an but now dates men.
5. LUG (Le***an Until Graduation): A, generally frowned upon, term for women who experiment with le***anism in college.
These labels are often used for community building and self-expression, but not all le****ns identify with or use them.
