IMPORTANT NOTICE | Learner Enrolment Extension

Attention all CETA Skills Development Providers:

The Construction Education and Training Authority, in collaboration with SAQA, QCTO and DHET, has secured an additional 24-month extension for learner enrolments on 12 Construction Legacy Qualifications.

This follows the Ministerial Directive issued on 17 June 2026.

Who qualifies:
- SDPs previously accredited for any of the 12 extended legacy qualifications
- SDPs who received the first extension

Note: SDPs with expired accreditations that were not renewed do NOT qualify. CETA will conduct blitz audit visits to verify compliance.

CETA acknowledges our partners who joined us for the launch of _Skills on Wheels_.

Special thanks to Training Centre, an accredited Skills Development Provider, for volunteering their time and expertise. They brought hands-on simulations for electrician, plumbing, and driver training, showcasing skills linked to operators, TLB, diesel bowser, water tank, and excavator training.

Together we’re taking construction trades directly to the people.

We were live on the ground!
CETA engaged with learners, youth and industry at the expo.

Our team unpacked construction trades through electrical and plumbing demos, trade test info, and one-on-one career guidance. We shared Career Guides and explained how to access accredited training.

We are not a school. We are the Construction Education and Training Authority, driving skills development for SA’s future artisans.
