MAHIKENG HOSTS SUCCESSFUL THUNTSHA LEROLE AND DDM ACCELERATED SERVICE DELIVERY PROGRAMME

Mahikeng Local Municipality, in partnership with the North West Provincial Government and the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies, successfully held the Joint Accelerated Service Delivery Programme Thuntsha Lerole and District Development Model (DDM) at Lonely Park Multipurpose Centre in Ward 29.

The programme was graced by Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Hon. Mondli Gungubele, North West Premier, Hon. Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi, MECs, Heads of Departments, Mahikeng Local Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr. Tshepiso Mphehlo, Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr. Khumalo Molefe, councillors and representatives from various government departments and entities.

The programme brought government services closer to the people through a Service Delivery Blitz and exhibition, where community members accessed information and services from various government departments on site. As part of the service delivery activities, road patching was also undertaken between Signal Hill and Molelwane.

A key highlight of the day was the Community Feedback Session, which provided residents with an opportunity to raise service delivery concerns, share their experiences and engage directly with government leaders. This session ensured that residents’ voices are heard and that their issues are addressed through coordinated government interventions.

The initiative covered communities including Matsatseng (Ward 09), Top Village (Ward 29), Signal Hill (Ward 28), Moshawane (Ward 28), Lonely Park (Wards 29 and 32), Molelwane (Ward 28), Setumo Park (Ward 32) and Seremane (Ward 29).

Mahikeng Local Municipality remains committed to strengthening collaborative governance through the DDM approach to accelerate service delivery and improve the lives of our people.
