Speaker Holds a Meet and Greet Session with Staff of the North West Provincial Legislature

The Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Ntsetsao Viola Motsumi, held a meet-and-greet session with the Management, organised labour unions and staff of the North West Provincial Legislature.

The engagement provided an important opportunity for the Speaker to formally introduce herself to the entire staff component and to share her vision and priorities for the institution. Hon. Motsumi emphasised her commitment to building a Legislature that serves as a model institution within the legislative sector, grounded in the principles of transparency, fairness, accountability and good governance.

The Speaker further highlighted the importance of fostering and strengthening constructive relationships with organised labour. She stressed that open dialogue, mutual respect and collaboration with labour unions are essential in ensuring that the interests, rights and well-being of workers are advanced and protected.

Hon. Motsumi encouraged Management, labour and staff to work together as one team, recognising that a strong and effective institution depends on the collective contribution of everyone. She reaffirmed her commitment to creating an environment where all employees are treated fairly, their voices are heard, and they are empowered to contribute meaningfully to the success of the Legislature.

The Speaker was warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by Management, labour representatives and staff, setting a positive tone for collaboration and a shared commitment to building a stronger, more accountable and people-centred North West Provincial Legislature.

Together, let us build a Legislature founded on transparency, fairness, accountability, collaboration and excellence.

NORTH WEST LEGISLATURE PORTFOLIO COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY SAFETY AND TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT TO HOLD A MEETING WITH DEPARTMENTS ON AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

The North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management, chaired by Hon. Freddy Sonakile, will hold a meeting with the Department of Public Works and Roads, Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, and Infrastructure South Africa (ISA) to engage on the Pilanesberg International Airport and Dick Montshioa Airport projects.

The meeting will focus on the work undertaken, processes followed, progress achieved, challenges encountered, funding arrangements and future plans relating to the two airport infrastructure projects.

The meeting will be held as follows:
