π· | The North West Provincial Treasury, in collaboration with COGTA and SALGA, is hosting Day 2 of the Municipal Revenue Management Forum to strengthen the financial health of municipalities across the province.
The forum brings together key stakeholders to discuss practical solutions that improve revenue collection, strengthen financial governance, and ensure municipalities have the resources needed to deliver quality services to communities. By working together, we can build financially sustainable municipalities that are better equipped to meet the needs of our people.
βΌοΈ The Revenue Management Forum seeks to:
β’ Strengthen the implementation and enforcement of municipal Credit Control and Debt Collection Policies and By-Laws.
β’ Improve municipal revenue collection through enhanced billing accuracy, debtor management and revenue protection measures.
β’ Facilitate collaboration amongst municipalities, Provincial Treasury, SALGA, AGSA and government departments in addressing outstanding debt owed to municipalities.
β’ Share best practices and practical interventions that contribute towards improved audit outcomes, funded budgets and long-term financial sustainability.
Together, we are strengthening municipal finances to improve service delivery for the people of the North West.π€
