The provincial and local spheres of government meet for the submission of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) of municipalities. The Constitution requires government to be accountable and open in the delivery of services to the people. This is a clear foundational value of accountability to the people. This submission of AFS serves to ensure that municipalities fulfil this legal duty and submit their AFS to the Auditor General as prescribed in section 126 (1) of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) No. 56 of 2003.

Women Empowering Women. Women Empowering the Nation.

When women rise, they do more than break barriers — they create pathways for others to follow.

The North West Provincial Treasury’s Women’s Event brought together women in the department to celebrate their achievements, share experiences and reflect on the important role women continue to play in building a stronger public service and a better South Africa.

From the boardroom to communities, women are leading with courage, purpose and resilience. Their contributions strengthen institutions, inspire future generations and help drive the country forward.

As we celebrate the women of the North West Provincial Treasury, we recognise that empowerment is not only about how far we have come, but also about creating opportunities for the women who will come after us.

Because when women empower one another, they empower families, communities, institutions — and ultimately, the nation.
