WATER PIPE BURST - UPDATE 17:40

A water pipe has burst in Church Road.

The estimated repair time is 20:00 tonight.

Municipal teams are busy repairing it. It is a major burst, and the technical team has been working since 11:00 this morning.

I do apologise for the inconvenience.

Please also note that, when the water returns, water pressure will be low, as the Fire Hydrants will be opened to bleed air and dirt from the network.

Water will be discoloured brown for a couple of hours.

Punt Hoërskool is die nuutste toevoeging tot Wyk 8 se stem stasies. Dit bring welkome verligting vir kiesers, en in praktyk beteken korter wag periodes in rye, om u demokratiese stem te kan uitbring. Die verantwoordelikheid berus egter op u as kieser, om seker te maak dat u by die regte stemlokaal geregistreer is om te stem.

Point High School is the latest addition to Ward 8's polling stations. This brings welcome relief to voters, and in practice means shorter waiting periods in lines, to cast your democratic vote.

However, the responsibility lies with you as a voter, to make sure that you are registered at the correct polling station to vote. Come and visit us on June 21, 2026, at City Hall or Punt High School Clubhouse to determine your correct polling station!

Kom besoek ons more, ja - op Vadersdag vir 5 minute om u korrekte stemlokaal te bevestig!
