A different way to experience the Free State bush, from horseback. 🐎

From 2–3 October, the Uniondale Horse Camino will take riders from Joe’s Paddocks in Paul Roux to Uniondale Game Farm for an overnight stay, followed by a scenic ride through the game camp and a picnic.

The cost is R975 per person and includes shared accommodation, dinner, breakfast, a picnic and two experienced guides. Riders must bring their own horse and equipment.

Please note: This event is organised by Eastern Free State Pilgrimages and Adventures, not Uniondale Game Farm.

How do 185-million-year-old dinosaur tracks survive at Uniondale Game Farm, Paul Roux?

The short version: the right mud, the right conditions, and a lot of luck. Early Jurassic mud hardened into rock before it could wash away, preserving the footprints as fossils exactly where the animal stepped.

See them for yourself on a day visit.
