As Transnet’s trusted confined space and fire rescue partner along the fuel pipeline between Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, Rural Metro plays a critical role in supporting emergency preparedness and response across key operational areas.

The Transnet Internal Fire Safety Proficiency Day provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen partnerships, demonstrate practical emergency response capabilities, and engage with industry stakeholders committed to operational safety excellence.

Rural Metro Emergency Management Services had the privilege of attending Maritzburg College’s 2026 Career Expo, where we engaged with future leaders and introduced learners to the exciting and rewarding world of emergency services.

From fire and rescue operations to emergency response and community protection, it was an incredible opportunity to share insight into the skills, dedication, and teamwork required in our industry.
