🎓 AND THAT'S A WRAP ON AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY

The 2026 Elangeni TVET College Graduation Ceremony came to a close after a day filled with pride, inspiration, celebration and achievement. 🎓

The closing proceedings were led by ETVET Deputy Council Chairperson Mrs Qhobhosheane, followed by the academic procession exiting the venue.

The day then concluded with the symbolic tossing of the mortarboards, marking a memorable moment as graduates celebrated the completion of their studies and the beginning of a new chapter. 🎓🎉

The celebrations continued with the official group photograph of the graduating class, capturing a special moment that will forever form part of their ETVET journey. 📸 To the Class of 2025, congratulations on this incredible achievement! 👏🏽🎓

The spotlight turned to the 2026 Elangeni TVET College Occupational Programme and National Diploma recipients as they were celebrated for reaching this significant milestone. 👩🏽‍🎓

👨🏽‍🎓 Behind every qualification was a story of hard work, perseverance, dedication and determination. 💪🏽 Those efforts were recognised and celebrated as graduates proudly marked the culmination of their studies at Elangeni TVET College.
Their qualifications represented more than academic achievement. They represented preparation for the world of work, entrepreneurship, further learning and meaningful contribution to society. 🌍

A key moment of the 2026 Elangeni TVET College Graduation Ceremony was the introduction of keynote speaker Dr S Nzimande by Deputy Principal Registrar Mr TE Sibiya.
Dr Nzimande delivered an inspiring keynote address to the graduating class, sharing words of encouragement as they prepared to take the next step in their personal, academic and professional journeys. 🎓

Dr Nzimande challenged graduates to continue growing, becoming and moving forward, regardless of the circumstances they may encounter beyond graduation. He encouraged them: “Keep growing. Outgrow the mindset that tells you that you cannot. Outgrow relationships that require you to remain small. Outgrow environments that keep convincing you that your dreams are too big. Outgrow the version of yourself that was created only to survive. Because you are no longer only surviving. You are becoming.”

He then left the graduates with the powerful words of Dr Martin Luther King Jr.: “If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”

Dr Nzimande reminded the graduates that their pace, circumstances and route may change, but their movement must continue.

Keep growing. Keep becoming. Keep building. Keep moving.
And whatever you do… KEEP MOVING FORWARD.

The Class of 2025 received a message of inspiration from ETVET Principal Mrs TJ Kula as the College celebrated this important milestone. 🎓

The Principal began her address by asking graduates to rise and look towards their parents and families who had supported them throughout their journey. She acknowledged that the journey had not always been easy, but that the day was one of celebration and achievement.

Graduates were also encouraged to acknowledge the academic and support staff who had played an important role in supporting them throughout their studies. 👏🏽

Reflecting on the achievements of the graduating class, Principal Kula said: “In total, we are celebrating 334 graduates today – young men and women who have worked hard, acquired knowledge and practical skills, and prepared themselves to participate meaningfully in the economy. And as we mark Women’s Month, I want to pause and celebrate our 233 female graduates in particular. You are a powerful demonstration that women belong in every classroom, every workshop, every laboratory, every boardroom and every workplace.”

Her address celebrated the dedication, resilience and commitment that had brought the graduates to this special day, while highlighting the important contribution of women in education, skills development and the economy.

The ETVET Choir then delivered a musical performance led by Principal Kula, adding to the celebration. 🎶

The 2026 Elangeni TVET College Graduation Ceremony continued with messages of encouragement and support for the graduating class. 👩🏽‍🎓👨🏽‍🎓

The ceremony was officially opened by ETVET Council Chairperson Mr LS Gabela setting the tone for an inspiring start to the day, followed by a musical performance by the ETVET Choir 🎶 before ETVET SRC President Ms Londiwe Mathe delivered the student address. Ms Mathe reminded the graduates of the journey they had travelled and the resilience it had taken to reach this moment: “Class of 2025, look at where you are sitting. Four days ago we were counting down, today we are counting our blessings. This gown you are wearing is not just fabric. It's stitched with your late nights, your NSFAS worries, your assignments, your friendships, your prayers. On behalf of the Student Representative Council, we want to say: We are so proud of you. You didn't just earn a certificate. You earned resilience. You earned the right to say ‘I finished what I started.’”

Her message highlighted the importance of perseverance, resilience and the strength required to complete the journey.
The graduates were reminded of the strength of their journey and the opportunities that lay ahead. 🌟

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as graduates, families, College leadership, staff and guests gathered at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban for the 2026 Elangeni TVET College Graduation Ceremony on 29 August 2026. 🎓

The stage was set, the graduation gowns were on, and our graduates were ready to celebrate a milestone they had worked hard to achieve. 👩🏽‍🎓👨🏽‍🎓

The ceremony got underway with the Introduction to the Graduation Ceremony by Acting Assistant Director: Marketing & Communications, Mrs S Reddy, followed by the academic procession led by ETVET Principal Mrs TJ Kula.

🇿🇦 The ceremony then began with the singing of the National Anthem, officially setting the tone for a memorable day of celebration and achievement.

🎓The Class of 2025 had arrived, and their moment had begun.
