Our beautifully situated Garden Route Wolf Sanctuary, situated between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay – offers an unparalleled experience with wolves. With easy access and plenty of parking, we are a destination not to be missed. Our sanctuary is home to two packs of Timber Wolves, namely the Sparrowhawk and the Rambo Packs.

Garden Route Wolf Sanctuary is home to Wolves, Wolfdogs, Huskies and a variety of farm animals.

We are open daily from 8am to 5pm and we offer self walks as well as guided tours.
Our guided tours are incredibly special as you get to interact with a few of our wolfdogs and have a personal experience with them. You will definitely walk away from the experience with a feeling of awe at how wonderful these animals are.

Wow, the last few weeks have been crazy with the storm and all the damages needing repairs and then needing to close for a few days because of the abundance of rain.

All our animals are safe and most don't mind getting wet but did not approve of the soak they received from the downpour😅.

Zeev's first trip outside the sanctuary and he absolutely loved it.
We have never been able to harness Zeev, never mind take him to the beach, but with his old age he has calmed down and really enjoys the harness now.

Wolves will communicate with one another and show affection to one another by licking the face and putting their mouths over the snout of the other wolf. They will also lick each others teeth.

Lelu is showing our guide Carina that kind of love and affection. As she would her own mate. Carina knows to keep her mouth closed before her teeth get licked as well😂
