COMMUNITY NOTICE:
SEWERAGE SERVICE DELIVERY CHALLENGES:

We would like to inform all communities that the Municipality is currently experiencing challenges with its sewerage trucks.

At present, only one sewerage truck is operational and available to service all towns within the municipal area. This has unfortunately resulted in a significant backlog in attending to sewerage-related requests and complaints across the municipality.

The Technical Services Team is actively working on a recovery plan and will communicate a schedule indicating how the backlog will be addressed in the affected towns and communities.

We understand the inconvenience this situation may cause and sincerely apologise to all residents. The Municipality kindly requests the patience, understanding, and cooperation of the community while every effort is being made to restore the service to normal capacity.

Further updates and schedules will be communicated in due course.

🚫 ILLEGAL DUMPING MUST STOP 🚫

Our communities deserve to be clean, safe and healthy for everyone.

It is deeply disappointing that when individuals are confronted about illegal dumping, the response is:
“Do as you please, we are not the only ones.”

This attitude destroys our environment, creates health hazards, attracts pests and places unnecessary pressure on municipal cleaning teams and limited resources.

We call on all residents to take responsibility for their waste and to report illegal dumping activities in their areas. Keeping Khâi-Ma clean is a shared responsibility, not only the municipality’s responsibility.

📌 If you witness illegal dumping:
✔️ Report the individuals involved
✔️ Take photos where possible
✔️ Help us protect our communities

A cleaner Khâi-Ma starts with responsible citizens. Let us work together to restore pride in our towns and stop illegal dumping before it becomes normalised.
