Today, the Limpopo Provincial Treasury, in partnership with key government stakeholders including Maruleng Local Municipality, Limpopo Economic Development Agency, South African Revenue Service, Standard Bank and the Independent Electoral Commission, hosted a capacity-building workshop for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at Butswana Community Hall in Ga-Sekororo, within the Maruleng Local Municipality.
The workshop aimed to empower local entrepreneurs by providing information on business opportunities available through government institutions and encouraging greater participation in public sector procurement processes.
Participants were also guided on the importance of compliance with SARS requirements, including the filing of annual tax returns and maintaining compliant profiles on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). In addition, officials from LEDA provided information on funding opportunities and support programmes available to qualifying businesses.
