Roads Agency Limpopo Roads Agency Limpopo's responsibilities are to plan, design, upgrade, maintain, own and control the usage of Limpopo Provincial roads and their reserves.

RAL is a provincial road infrastructure delivery parastatal registered under the Company’s Act of the Republic of South Africa. It has been established under its constitutive Act, the Northern Province Roads Agency Act and Provincial Roads Act 7 of 1998, as amended. Its functions are the planning, designing, construction, maintenance and control of the provincial road network. It owns and manages all the provincial roads, except municipal roads.

The rehabilitated stretch of the D4250 Apel to Ga-Nkoana road, in the Sekhukhune District. The project is part of the 22 projects that are currently being rehabilitated by RAL in the province, as pronounced by MEC Tonny Ernest Rachoene in the 2025/2026 financial year budget vote.

Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, together with the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Tonny Ernest Rachoene conducted a on the D4250 Apel to Ga-Nkoana road in the Sekhukhune District. This has been the second programme to take place in the district today.

Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba says the Seventh Administration is working tirelessly to realise a capable and developmental state with a view of strengthening government internal capacity.

Premier Ramathuba says the public service needs to be immersed in the development agenda and realise improved service delivery. Premier Ramathuba has been speaking at Marble Hall in the Ephraim Mogale Municipal area, during the official opening of the Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure newly built Cost-Centre, which will house employees that previously occupied offices built with corrugated irons.

MEC Ernest Rachoene, the local Mayor Cllr Given Moimana, the Executive Mayor of Sekhukhune District Municipality Cllr Minah Bahula and other Councillors have joined Dr Ramathuba as she officially opened the building.

Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba embarked on a project and service delivery monitoring initiative in Thulamela Local Municipality to assess progress on key infrastructure projects and service delivery interventions. The visit commenced at the Thohoyandou Taxi Rank Intermodal Facility, where the Premier received a comprehensive progress report on the development and its implementation status. She then proceeded to Road D3718, where she led a service delivery intervention focused on road maintenance and actively participated in pothole patching efforts. She was joined by the local Mayor of Thulamela cllr Sarah Rambuda.

The initiative formed part of the provincial government's ongoing commitment to monitoring project implementation, accelerating service delivery, and improving the quality of infrastructure and road networks across communities. These interventions are aimed at enhancing mobility, promoting economic activity, and improving the daily lives of residents.
