ANC Waterberg Holds Weekly RET Meeting in Thabazimbi

Today, the ANC Waterberg Region held its weekly Regional ElectionsTeam (RET) Meeting at the Regorogile Community Hall in the Thabazimbi Sub-Region.

The meeting was led by PEC Member Cde Letjeka Pheeha and Regional Elections Coordinator Cde Seraka Mapeka, with a strong focus on strengthening the movement’s organisational work and advancing preparations for the upcoming local government elections.

Bela-Bela Sub-region held their LET meeting at LEHLABILE PARK led by PEC member Cde Letjeka Pheeha. He was joined by Bela-Bela PMT, REC members and ANCYL members.

Today, the ANC Lephalale Sub-Region held its Local Election Team (LET) meeting at the Shongoane Tribal Office, led by LET Coordinator Cde Thulare.

The meeting was preceded by a successful door-to-door campaign in Ward 6, where members engaged with residents, listened to community concerns, and strengthened grassroots mobilisation ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

The programme was supported by REC Members Cde Dipuo Moatshe and Cde Louisa Shongwe, who joined the team in advancing the movement’s election campaign and strengthening its presence at community level.

Yesterday 31 August 2026, PEC member Cde Sanny Ndhlovu joined a successful Extended BET meeting at Smatchblock Ward 6 (Thabazimbi Sub-region) under the leadership of (Convener) Cde Zukisile Mlamo and (Coordinator) Cde Kabelo Tisane.

The purpose of the BET meeting is to essentially coordinate decision-making platform to ensure that the branch remains organised, active and aligned with the broader movement's programmes and objectives.

ANC Waterberg Region REC Members arriving at the Old Peter Mokaba stadium ahead of the Limpopo Provincial Manifesto Rally in Polokwane, where Former ANC Deputy President Cde Kgalema Motlanthe will deliver the main address.

The purpose of the ANC Limpopo Provincial Manifesto Rally is to present the ANC’s vision, priorities and commitments to the people of Limpopo, while mobilising members, supporters and communities ahead of the elections and building momentum towards Voting Day.
