Lolu-hlelo olubizwa ngo-Mnotho Fund, nobelaziwa ngokuthi, (i-Operation Vula Fund), nokunguhlelo lokuxhasa osoMabhizinisi, oluqalwe nguMnyango Wezokuthuthukiswa koMnotho, Ezokuvakasha kanye neZemvelo, ngaphansi kobuholi bukaMfundisi Musa Zondi. Inhloso yakho konke lokhu, ukuqinisekisa ukwesekwa ngokwanele ekusungulweni, kanjalo nasekuthuthukisweni kwamabhizinisi asafufusa, nazinzile afaka phakathi ama-SMMEs, kanye nama-Co-Operatives.

Kulo-mhlangano UMhlonishwa uMeya ubonge UNgqongqoshe ngokuxhasa labo somabhizinisi abekade befake izicelo zokuthuthukiswa kwamabhizinisi abo eMnyangweni, ngenhloso yokuxosha ikati eziko, kanjalo nokwakha amathuba emisebenzi. COUNCIL ELECTS CLLR. CELIWE NXUMALO-SIBIYA AS THE SPEAKER

The Council of uPhongolo Local Municipality has elected Cllr. Celiwe Nxumalo-Sibiya during the Special Council meeting held today, 11th June 2026, at the Council Chamber.
This follows the resignation of former Speaker, Cllr. Kwenzakakufani Nxumalo few months ago. The newly elected Speaker expressed sincere gratitude to the Council for entrusting her with the enormous responsibility of leading the Council.

She has committed to ensuring that the dignity of Council is maintained all the time and that will be done through the application of Standing Rules and Orders of Council to ensure the debates are conducted in a fair manner.

Speaker Nxumalo made the commitment as she took the seat of the Speaker for the first time. “I commit to work with all Councillors to ensure that we conduct the business of the Council in the manner that will ensure we provide the required oversight that will lead to effective service delivery to all our communities of uPhongolo,” She said.

Lokhu kuza emuva kokuba, uMeya woMkhandlu wasoPhongolo, uMhlonishwa u-Cllr BJ Thwala, ehambele endaweni yase-Khiphunyawo, ngaphansi kukaWadi 3, namuhla, ngenhloso yokuzokwethula lo-msebenzi othinta intuthuko yoMphakathi wasoPhongolo.
