Summary of Meeting Between UNASA Nelson Mandela University Chapter and Standard Bank:

The UNASA Nelson Mandela University Chapter convened a strategic meeting with representatives from Standard Bank to discuss the forthcoming financial literacy program scheduled for February 16th. The event, to be hosted in the vicinity between Zanadu residents and the Unitas tuckshop, seeks to elevate students’ financial acumen and empower them with essential fiscal management skills.

Recognizing Standard Bank’s esteemed role in fostering financial education, the program will comprehensively cover key themes including budgeting, credit and debt comprehension, strategic investment planning, asset protection through insurance, optimizing financial resources, safeguarding against financial scams, and harnessing financial tools such as apps and online banking.

Stakeholders have been cordially invited to contribute to the program’s dynamism by bringing forth marketing materials or engaging games that can augment the learning experience for attending students.

This collaborative initiative between UNASA Nelson Mandela University Chapter and Standard Bank signifies a commitment to cultivating a financially literate student body. The event is poised to be a sophisticated and enlightening forum, fostering a heightened awareness and proficiency in responsible financial management amongst the student community.
